One Magical Afternoon at The Rainbow Dreams Cafe

One rainy late afternoon, we decided to go out for a late lunch or maybe have a heavy snack somewhere not-too-far yet not-so-near and not-a-typical-kind-of restaurant. We have been seeing a lot of posts on Facebook about concept resto’s and we really like to visit one 😉

We found ourselves loitering around PhilCoa, a busy place within Quezon City in the Philippines. We’re trying to find the infamous Rainbow Dreams Café. It’s supposed to be located at #80 Maguinhawa St. Well, a good map would be a great help besides Waze 😉

Just minutes away from Quezon City Circle, or if you’re commuting, best is from PhilCoa, rent a tricycle and just say you’re going to #80 Maguinhawa St. and they’ll take you there for less than 20 pesos. A resident on the place told us that there are a lot of Food Park within the area, well, not a bad idea to go back one day and even without any plans, just drop by and see what happens 😉

On a quick research, The Rainbow Dreams Café is co-owned by Ms. Alyssa Valdez, an Ateneo Volleyball Superstar who is as of this writing is playing with the Philippine National Team along with
a lot of other Commercial Teams. The Café is inspired by the Unicorn and Ponies. The unicorn is a legendary creature that has been described since antiquity as a beast with a single large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead.

Well so much for that 😉 The place is so cool, so magical that they are allowing guests to wear pony clothes, and what’s really cute is you have to use their magic wand to call the attention of their crew for your orders 😊

We’ve tried their Chicken, and the Lemonade is so overwhelming, they are serving it on a monster jar and I personally as an Iced Tea-Gal, that’s a real plus plus 😉

We also tried their Carbonara with both Pink and Purple Pasta, aw, it is so delicious, they really hit the spot there. At first, we’re so hesitant to try it because of its color, but after you mix it with the sauce underneath, wow, it is not so pricey at all. Those bits of star bread on the sides will make you feel you’re somewhere else, somewhere out there 😉

Their Strawberry Shake is tremendous, in a good way ;-) If you're a proud owner of a sweet tooth, this is just made for you! You just can't get enough, the candies are all over and when the sugar hit you thirsty, you can sip the whole deal within a blink ;-)

Finally, the Pancakes. They might have prepared those with KIDS in mind as it is so sugary, I mean it’s sweet and all but I like my pancakes with nothing but a tasty syrup in it 😉 Though I could still recommend the pancake just because it is packed with a lot of chocolates 😉

We had a great meal, we’ve had a lot of fun all in all. We’ll definitely recommend this place to our friends of course. Be prepared though as there are ‘WAITING’ especially during late afternoons. Have your camera ready as you visit the place coz you’ll surely take a lot of photos while you’re at a one magical afternoon with the Rainbow Dreams Café. They’re open everyday from 12 noon until 9 PM 😉

Cheerio!

The Greenery: Baliuag Bulacan, Philippines

I’ve been thinking about great places near the metro lately, and the first place that’ll come into mind up north is Bulacan. As to my research, Bulacan has a lot to offer as it is a historic place. In 1899, the historic Barasoain Church in Malolos was the birthplace of the First Constitutional Democracy in Asia. ILove Adventours allowed me to tag along as they schedule an ocular inspection on one of their target destination to promote on their day tour, The Greenery . According to The Greenery’s website, they are located at #80 Rio Vista Subdivision, Sabang 3006 Baliuag, Bulacan. The Greenery, a wedding events place is a hub for any special occasion. It has three theme-based venues that can accommodate the creativity of the bride and groom in creating their perfect event. The three venues are: Pavilion, Lighthouse and Open garden . The pavilion has a grand ballroom for an elegant setting. The lighthouse is located by the river for couples that like the water and a cool breeze f

Mt. Ulap: A Guide for First Timers

I spent my online time mostly on social media. Every now and then, I find a group of people posting their travel getaways. The pictures are amazing, so breathtaking that I wanted to go there myself ;-) As my curiosity tickles me in the right places, I began to follow some of those posts and it seems that, being a JOINER is a fad nowadays. Without any hesitation, I began to search for a group who will be travelling somewhere north, I will ask them if they can allow me to join their trip. One Facebook page help me to gather a group, and with a little chitchat, a little confirmation, 15 strangers decided to trek Mt. Ulap. I had to write these experiences so that many like me, a self-proclaimed adventurous, will have a little guide on what to expect, what to bring, what to wear and how much will it cost to travel somewhere gorgeous. 15 people meet up at Quezon Avenue corner EDSA late at night around 10 PM. We expect to be at Barangay Ampucao Itogon Benguet as early as possible,

Have you been to Batangas? I have been there so many times already and yet, there are still a lot of great places there to visit. As my being adventurous to seek places aroused me big time, I decided to again, join with strangers to visit say, 3 nice locations within Batangas proper. We decided to have a day tour at The Marian Orchard and The Cintai Corito’s Garden both in Balete, and The Shercon Resort in Mataas na Kahoy.
