Crystal Beach at Iba Zambales, Philippines

Is it just me or it really is getting hotter in the Philippines? Well, summertime is officially started and we can say that the heat of the sun is too much to bear!!! On the bright side though, it is a great excuse to go out and beat the heat, let’s visit the beach 😉

There is a great Beach Resort somewhere north if your friends are always flooding your Facebook timeline about where to go to show off your 6-month-food-deprived body!!! Hey don’t ask me, I myself am not really in shape to wear trunks, my abs are way too shy to boast off!?!

Anyways, let’s visit Zambales and try to explore The Crystal Beach 😉

Zambales is a province in the Philippines located in the Central Luzon region in the island of Luzon. Its capital is Iba. Zambales borders Pangasinan to the north, Tarlac and Pampanga to the east, Bataan to the south and the South China Sea to the west. With a land area of 3,830.83 square kilometres (1,479.09 sq. mi), Zambales is the second largest among the seven provinces of Central Luzon. The province is noted for its mangoes, which are abundant from January to April.

ADVENTURE is Zambales’ middle name if it has one. Zambales claims that it is probably one of the best adventure destination. It has all the ingredients needed to make for an amazing time. Try climbing mountains, or traveling from island to island, or enjoying a quiet rest by the side of crystal blue seas.

If you find those things boring, why not try surfing. Zambales has one of the closest surf breaks to Metro Manila. If you feel like you don't want to be that rustic, then just zip over to nearby Subic Bay and buy your supply of duty-free goods. Convenient, right? You might buy everything you need at Subic Bay, literally everything 😉

We rendered the services of ILove Adventours to take us there, all 15 of us 😉

Mind you, a group of 16 people loiters along the beach just because they have no reservation, yet they push through their getaway for adventure’s sake. That might be cool but personally for me, I can’t stand the heat from 9 AM to 3 PM, it’s just too much for me, especially during the summer ;-(

Beyond that, if everything is set and reservation is made, you can enjoy a great beach all day 😉 Seek help from these people for your next adventure, they always come in handy 😉

Cheerio!

The Greenery: Baliuag Bulacan, Philippines

I’ve been thinking about great places near the metro lately, and the first place that’ll come into mind up north is Bulacan. As to my research, Bulacan has a lot to offer as it is a historic place. In 1899, the historic Barasoain Church in Malolos was the birthplace of the First Constitutional Democracy in Asia. ILove Adventours allowed me to tag along as they schedule an ocular inspection on one of their target destination to promote on their day tour, The Greenery . According to The Greenery’s website, they are located at #80 Rio Vista Subdivision, Sabang 3006 Baliuag, Bulacan. The Greenery, a wedding events place is a hub for any special occasion. It has three theme-based venues that can accommodate the creativity of the bride and groom in creating their perfect event. The three venues are: Pavilion, Lighthouse and Open garden . The pavilion has a grand ballroom for an elegant setting. The lighthouse is located by the river for couples that like the water and a cool breeze f...

Mt. Maynuba in Tanay, Rizal: Our Couple’s Hike Through Clouds, Trails, and Eight Waterfalls

When my fiancée and I decided to take a break from the usual city routine, we found ourselves drawn to Mt. Maynuba—a mountain that isn’t the tallest in the Philippines, but one that offers a surprisingly complete hiking experience. Located in Tanay, this destination is well-known among hikers for its scenic trails, famous sea of clouds, and a unique bonus: eight waterfalls along the route. From the very start, we knew this hike would be something special—and it truly delivered. First Impressions and Getting There Coming from Metro Manila, the accessibility of Mt. Maynuba is one of its biggest advantages. It’s just a few hours away, making it perfect for a day hike or a quick weekend adventure. The jump-off point is in Barangay Cayabu, where we registered, paid the environmental fee, and secured a local guide (which is required). We immediately noticed how welcoming the locals were. The community plays a big role in maintaining the trail and guiding hikers, and that added a sense of saf...

Ugbo 2.0: Our Street Food Odyssey in Sampaloc, Manila Philippines

When we first heard whispers of FUSION ALLEY Food Park Sampaloc, famously dubbed “Ugbo 2.0,” we were in different parts of Manila—some in the University Belt, others just passing by on errands—but all of us curious about the hype. The original Ugbo in Tondo had long been a food pilgrimage for adventurous eaters and night market lovers alike, with its endless rows of stalls, grilled skewers, exotic soups, and cheeky sweet treats. Now, this spirited concept has been reimagined closer to campus life, right between P. Noval and P. Campa streets in Sampaloc, just a short walk from UST and the rest of the academic hustle. From the outset, Ugbo 2.0 felt like a celebration of Filipino street food culture—but with its own Sampaloc personality. The streets come alive as the sun dips below the Manila skyline, and the aroma of sizzling grills and sweet fruit shakes fills the late-afternoon air. The first thing that strikes us when we walk along the vendors’ lane is the diversity of offerings: fami...

The mountain is located in Mabini, Batangas, a municipality also known for its world-class diving sites in...
